Ordering & Delivery

Ordering from a bespoke kitchen works differently from adding a pie to a basket. Here is the whole process, start to finish, so you know what to expect before you write to us.

1. Tell us the occasion

Send us the date, roughly how many people you are feeding, and what the day is. A sentence or two is genuinely enough to start — a birthday lunch for twelve, a wake for forty, a launch where people will be standing up with a plate in one hand. Anything the food has to work around, tell us now: dietary requirements, a venue with no oven, a long drive at the end of it.

2. We come back with a plan

You get a written proposal: what we would bake, in what sizes, in what quantity, on which pastry, and what it would cost. If we think a different shape of order would serve the day better, we will say so and explain why. Nothing is booked until you say yes to that plan.

3. Bake day

Everything is made fresh to the agreed brief and timed around when you need it. Nothing is baked in advance and held.

4. Collection or delivery

Orders can be collected from us, or brought to you within our delivery area. Either way you get reheating and serving notes with the order, written for whoever is actually on duty on the day rather than for a chef.

Lead times, minimums and area

These depend on the size and shape of the order, and the specifics for this kitchen are still to be published:

  • Notice needed: [lead time for standard orders — to be confirmed]
  • Larger commissions: [notice needed for event-sized orders — to be confirmed]
  • Minimum order: [to be confirmed]
  • Collection address: [to be confirmed]
  • Delivery area and charges: [to be confirmed]
  • Payment and deposits: [to be confirmed]
  • Changes and cancellations: [to be confirmed]

Ask when you enquire and we will give you the exact answer for your date rather than a general one.

Allergens and dietary requirements

Tell us at the enquiry stage what needs to be avoided. Because every order is made individually we can often work around a requirement — but we will only ever tell you what we can genuinely guarantee for your particular bake, including anything about the kitchen itself that you ought to know. [Full allergen and kitchen handling statement — to be confirmed.]
